Your body adapts to a given stimulus within a matter of weeks, and without adding load, reps, or density over time, recomposition stalls regardless of how clean your diet is. Track your lifts. Add weight when you can hit the top of your rep range with good form for two consecutive sessions. This simple rule keeps the anabolic signal running even during a caloric deficit.
The Nutrition Side of Body Recomposition
Training is the trigger. Nutrition is the environment that determines what happens afterward. For true body recomposition — losing fat while building or preserving muscle — protein intake is the single most important dietary variable. GLP-1 medications suppress appetite substantially, and without a deliberate resistance training program and aggressive protein targets, the resulting weight loss skews heavily toward muscle rather than fat.
